About the Role
GAMINGbible is one of the world’s leading social publishers for gaming culture, reaching millions of fans across platforms every day. From breaking gaming news and viral moments to rounding up all the latest releases, we create content that connects with a global community of players.
We’re now looking for an Editorial Lead to lead GAMINGbible’s editorial output – shaping strategy, driving audience growth, and delivering best-in-class content across web and social.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for defining and executing GAMINGbible’s editorial vision. You’ll lead a team of journalists, ensuring everything we publish is sharp, engaging, and with broad audience appeal.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across editorial, audience, social/video and commercial teams to grow reach, refine content strategy, and unlock new opportunities across platforms.
This is a leadership role for someone who lives and breathes gaming culture, understands how audiences consume content today, and knows how to turn that into scale.
What the opportunity looks like
Own and execute GAMINGbible’s web editorial strategy
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of journalists
Identify and commission standout content – from breaking news and viral moments to original formats and IP
Ensure all output is aligned to GAMINGbible’s tone of voice and editorial standards
Use data, analytics, and platform insights to inform decisions and optimise performance
Work with stakeholders in social/video departments to drive audience growth through platform-native content across Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, Threads and emerging channels
Collaborate with Audience, SEO and Commercial teams to maximise reach and revenue opportunities
Oversee day-to-day operations including rotas, workflow, and team performance
Spot trends early and position GAMINGbible at the centre of gaming and internet culture conversations
Skills and experience we'd like you to have
Proven experience leading or managing a digital editorial team
Deep understanding of digital publishing, social platforms, and audience growth strategies
Strong track record of delivering high-performing content at scale
Strong understanding of how to write and package content to drive Search and Discover performance
Experience working with platforms such as Facebook, Reddit, Instagram and Threads
Highly data-literate, with the ability to translate insights into actionable editorial strategy
Excellent editorial judgement and a strong instinct for what makes content shareable and engaging
Passion for gaming, online culture, and the communities that shape it
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, reactive newsroom environment
