YouTube Shorts Channel Manager
Founded in 2012, LADbible Group is redefining entertainment and news for a social generation. Our global community engages with our content–spanning editorial, video, documentary and live – we reach 1 billion people each and every month. Our mission is to give the youth generation a voice by building communities that laugh, think and act. Using all major platforms, we’ve rapidly risen to become one of the world's largest publishers.
🎥 About the Role
As a YouTube Shorts Channel Manager, you’ll be responsible for building, scaling and optimising short-form video performance across LADbible, UNILAD and SPORTbible YouTube Shorts channels.
This role sits at the intersection of content strategy, platform performance and video monetisation. You’ll lead the end-to-end YouTube Shorts publishing and optimisation process. From planning and packaging to performance analysis, with a clear focus on maximising revenue opportunities, alongside views, audience retention and channel growth.
Every title, hook, caption and posting decision you make will be driven by platform insight, video analytics and strategic consideration helping ensure YouTube Shorts is a meaningful growth and monetisation engine for our brands.
👀 What the opportunity looks like
Own the day-to-day management of YouTube Shorts publishing across LADbible, UNILAD and SPORTbible, including scheduling, optimisation, metadata, and feed strategy. You’ll ensure a consistent, high-performing publishing cadence that aligns with audience behaviour and platform best practice.
Work closely with editorial, production and social teams to shape and activate a clear YouTube Shorts strategy. This includes identifying formats, trends, hooks and storytelling approaches that drive repeat viewership, retention and monetisable scale.
Treat monetisation as a core KPI, alongside views and growth. You’ll actively optimise Shorts performance to maximise revenue potential through YouTube’s monetisation products, supporting RPM uplift, advertiser suitability and sustainable channel income.
Analyse Shorts performance at scale - including view velocity, retention, engagement, monetisation signals and audience behaviour to continually refine publishing strategy. You’ll regularly report insights and recommendations back to the wider team.
Optimise Shorts for maximum discoverability within the Shorts feed, leveraging trends, sound usage, timing and format testing to drive channel growth and audience expansion across all three brands.
Ensure Shorts content is on-brand, IP-safe and consistently presented across LADbible, UNILAD and SPORTbible, while tailoring execution to each brand’s tone and audience expectations.
Stay ahead of YouTube Shorts updates, monetisation changes, algorithm shifts and competitive insights, sharing learnings and best practices across the business.
Leverage LADbible Group’s extensive originals and licensed video content archive to identify Shorts opportunities that can be repackaged to drive incremental reach, performance and revenue.
