About the Role
Sitting within the Client Solutions department and reporting into the Paid Social Lead, the Paid Media Manager will be accountable for providing strategic, technical & operational leadership across Paid Social, with a focus on activation in addition to paid media planning consultation as necessary
The Paid Media Manager will be accountable for day-to-day campaign activation, ensuring set-up, design, delivery, optimisation, troubleshooting and evaluation processes for all campaigns meet our high standards. They will lead selected departmental projects which focus on improving our BAU and support product improvement workstreams while also providing direction in the shape of principles, processes and specialist objectives to achieve this with support from the Paid Media Lead. They will also contribute to / own developmental projects for Paid with direction from the Project Owners / Paid Media Lead.
This role encourages growth strategically by encompassing Planning & Product influence as well as Activation competencies, which support the creation of effective client pitches.
What the opportunity looks like
Day to day campaign activation & Leadership: Commercial, Surveys, LAD Nation Panel Recruitment, Tech
Campaign reporting and keeping Project Manager / Key Stakeholders updated with issues / successes
Implement campaigns according to strategy: including full-funnel activations, performance activations & sophisticated measurement approaches alongside testing plans. Pulled-in by Effectiveness team as a planning consult when required (commercial, targeting, format choices, measurement...)
Researching & contributing to audience designs / optimisations across our entire audience suite (Skyrise, Permutive, LADNation, Platform engagers, Platform data etc). Spearheading audience design improvement with support from Paid Media Lead & contributions from Manager & Exec.
Reporting and measurement support or leadership for allocated campaigns, as well as ensuring quality across all campaigns through supportive management & enablement
Sharing learnings for EOC reports to Project Manager’s and Client Service’s
Joint ownership of Test/Learn roadmap alongside Paid Media Lead & Effectiveness team. Distribute and manage some tests; reporting back to wider paid/activation teams on result and working with Effectiveness team to decide upon the implications for future work.
Understanding & growing knowledge pertaining to all major social platforms; native tools & features, new developments, our principles & processes for end-to-end campaign activation and industry news. Translating this information into POV / Strategic recommendations for how we design campaigns & product alongside Paid Media Lead & Effectiveness team.
Updating teams on results and upcoming challenges/issues - Jointly accountable for summary of information & flow into 360 teams.
Accountability for the day-to-day fidelity of our Campaign Checklist & Project Tracker. Jointly accountable alongside Paid Media Lead for positive development.
Updating 360 Leadership on any changes in the marketplace / campaign issues and supporting Manager & Exec with difficult communications pertaining to campaign challenges. A specific focus on keeping ear to the market so that we can investigate developments early.
Accountable for upkeep & fidelity of LBG’s Paid Media Campaign Checklist data
Enable team to deliver campaign performance improvements vs. Benchmarks across formats & platforms - setting benchmarks & monitoring by campaign (roll-up into quarterly performance pacing)
Knowledge share presentations to internal teams to improve understanding, processes & output quality
Line management of Paid Exec. Responsible for development, progression and work attainment.
Skills and experience we’d like you to have
Experience as a Paid Media Manager is essential
Expertise buying across all social media platforms, including Meta Ads, Tiktok Ads, X Ads, Snapchat Ads and Google Ads
Track record of delivering effective, progressive, digital strategies for clients
Strong knowledge on the media advertising landscape, with a finger on the pulse for new platform opportunities
A test and learn mindset, with genuine interest in uncovering opportunities for campaign performance growth
A proven problem solving mindset with the ability to both proactively spot potential problems, and react when issues do arise.
The ability to clearly articulate points of view to campaign stakeholders and wider teams, and influence decision makers to positively impact campaign performance.
