Resource Operations Director (FTC)

About the role
The role of Resource Operations Director is a new one within the company, to be appointed at a pivotal inflection time for our financial and creative targets. It is a strategic leadership position, responsible for designing and running an optimised, future-fit resource system that improves the workflow, output and forecast of our creative and production offering.
The Resource Operations Director must be passionate about protecting our positive working culture and savvy about the advertising and media industry. They must be a problem-solver; someone who moves quickly; has an ability to pivot as needed; and who just wants to make great things happen. We work with some of the UK’s and the World’s biggest brands, and this role will play a pivotal part in supporting our 360 Commercial team in delivering ongoing branded partnerships.
The role has three core responsibilities for the 6 month period:
Design and implement the new resource system
- Develop a 6 month roadmap for the new resource system, that gives our senior leadership team insight and overview of your process.
- Set realistic checkpoints that gradually implement changes to the resource system over the course of the contract.
- Audit project management tools and software to make recommendation for investment and implementation within first 3 months.
Head up operations as part of senior leadership
- Work with the 360 leadership team and our finance team to understand the business priorities, so that resource better connects with our financial growth targets.
- Work with the Executive Creative Director and senior creative and production leads to understand the department stress points and implement ways to exell when it comes to resource flow.
- Have oversight over the creative process - ensuring each campaign has full support from the Creative team.
- Drive clarity around project fundamentals and project briefing by ensuring the team has all the information needed from Client Solutions and other teams to deliver the best work
- Work with Client Solutions, Creative and Client Projects to optimise resource in order to best support all deal requirements.
- Review existing methods of communication and reporting (emails, instant messenger, jotforms) and make recommendations on more efficient and effective options
- Proactively forecast freelance resource as required, and actioning paperwork and budgets accordingly
- Evaluate conversion data historically to understand existing business with a view to then provide a weekly analysis of brief anomalies and learnings so as to early identify issue areas and resolve.
- Work with Finance team to provide full quarterly reporting, highlighting resource analysis per agency patch.
- Make recommendations on resourcing, freelance and workflows to increase efficiency, quality and growth.
Hire and manage a full-time resource manager
- Define this role moving forward, with view to growth, culture and learning from yourself
- Help recruit, interview and hire the right candidate within the first 3 month

- Proven track record of operational excellence: Streamlining processes, improving efficiency, and driving financial and team focus wins.
- Strategic Thinking: Developing and implementing long-term plans to align resource allocation with business objectives.
- Financial Acumen: Budgeting, forecasting, and managing resources effectively.]Data Analysis: Utilising data to identify opportunites, optimise resource allocation, and measure performance.
- People Management: Building and leading high-performing team relationships, fostering a positive work environment.
- Change Management: Implementing organisational changes and driving adoption of new processes or technologies.
- Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving complex operational challenges.
- Communication: Effectively communicating with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
