Role
We are looking for a Head of Insight and Effectiveness for a maternity cover role. This is an exciting opportunity offering the chance to work across the LBG portfolio, and a host of clients from pitch to delivery. You will be responsible for managing the full team, including a panel team, supporting on commercial pitches, delivering insight pieces, thought pieces and effectiveness studies through a variety of in-house tools and solutions, as well as working with agency partners.
This role heads up a division in the commercial team at LBG, reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer. We are looking for someone who is an insight leader in the social space, and someone to ensure we are delivering place best in class insights to grow our business, as well as someone who is happy to get stuck into the day to day in a small team.
What the opportunity looks like
- Heading up a team of 10 across insight, effectiveness and panel professionals by managing workloads, prioritising briefs and managing expectations of internal and external stakeholders
- Manage the development of the team via support on projects, and more formal learning opportunities, as well as developing general team support like team efficiencies, strategies and plans
- Working with other teams in the commercial team to define approaches, priorities and frameworks, and proactively look for ways to support areas of the business with the teams’ capabilities
- Ensure quality insights are surfaced and that teams are accurately report insights, and how channels and content are performing
- Design and develop ad hoc research approaches for different internal teams and external clients dependent upon the scope of the brief
- Be responsible for ensuring all research projects are run to MRS approved standards and that we have quality panellists and data to answer briefs and questions
- Present insights to clients at a range of meetings and events
Skills and experience you will have
- Strong communication skills when turning data into strategic insights and presentation experience to large audiences
- Experience with managing a full team
- Experience working in media, and specifically social media, either at a media owner or agency – or with other media experience linked to a research agency role is essential, with clear experience with using social data and first party data sources to merge with survey data
- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills in a fast-paced role, and being happy to work under pressure to meet deadlines and prioritise time in the team
- Can demonstrate an ability to think creatively and find solutions by being entrepreneurial; if we don’t have a format or capability but your client needs it then you would be comfortable proposing new ideas/formats/capabilities to the business.
