Business Director - Client Solutions - Sport

Role Overview
This role is a critical part of our award-winning Client Solutions (sales) team, specifically focused on driving revenue growth with sports clients and sports marketing agencies (such as Fuse, CSM, and others). You will be responsible for building and nurturing key relationships, managing branded content, display, influencer marketing, immersive camera marketing, and sponsorship solutions across top-tier sports clients and agencies. The aim is to position LADbible Group as a trusted partner in the sports marketing landscape, ensuring retention, long-term growth, and innovation across all campaigns.
What the opportunity looks like
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with sports marketing agencies and key sports clients. Establish yourself as their go-to partner for all commercial solutions.
- Proposal Development: Craft integrated, innovative proposals that meet the specific needs of sports-focused clients and agencies. You’ll work on full-funnel strategies (brand and direct response), delivering high-impact content and sponsorship solutions that align with the sports ecosystem.
- Internal Collaboration: Act as the central point of contact between sports clients and internal teams, including Creative, Strategy, Category Specialists, and Display experts. Coordinate pitches, campaigns, and new business opportunities that capitalize on our sports expertise.
- Pitching & Revenue Growth: Confidently pitch both proactive and reactive responses to sports clients, delivering compelling solutions that drive revenue and exceed personal targets.
- Sports Category Expertise: Lead the development of category-specific insights related to sports and use them to enhance client workshops, proposals, and proactive ideas.
- Campaign Management: Immerse yourself in your clients’ sports business to anticipate challenges and create winning proposals that resonate with their objectives.
- Case Studies & Post-Campaign Analysis: Produce strong case studies and award-winning entries for clients, ensuring consistent growth and retention through clear, results-driven post-campaign analysis.
- Product Development: Use your deep knowledge of the sports industry to propose new commercial products or solutions that fit the evolving needs of sports brands and agencies.
- Industry Events: Attend relevant sports marketing conferences and events to stay ahead of trends and build a stronger network within the sports commercial landscape.
Skills and experience we'd like you to have
- Sports Marketing Expertise: Demonstrated experience working with sports clients and agencies. Deep understanding of the sports marketing ecosystem, including sponsorships, branded content, and influencer marketing.
- Strategic Proposal Development: Proven track record in responding to sports-specific briefs, crafting full-funnel, integrated proposals that align with client objectives.
- Creative & Commercial Thinking: Ability to think creatively and commercially, providing sports clients with innovative solutions that deliver strong business outcomes.
- Pitching & Presentation Skills: Excellent presentation skills with the ability to craft compelling sports-focused pitches and deliver them confidently to senior stakeholders.
- Digital & Social Media Knowledge: In-depth understanding of digital platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, etc.) and how sports clients can leverage social channels for brand growth and engagement.
- Proactive and Entrepreneurial: You’re comfortable proposing new formats or capabilities in response to client needs and are always looking for ways to innovate in the sports space.
